Electric

We're studying buzz marketing in class. I thought it was interesting that there isn't really a textbook to describe its methods, and even more interesting that we're living the process. While advertisers and media struggle to bring the blogosphere and viral marketing to the spotlight, define it, and wrap it into a 2-minute package, we simply breathe it.

Organizing

I've started up two new groups on BarackObama.com:

University of Oregon for Obama
City of Eugene for Obama

Enough criticizing the current administration, let's do something about it.  Or were you going to wait until 2008?

A Difference

It's time to make a difference.

Our ad competition for the Natural Resources Defense Council is supposed to point in that direction. Our student government insists that we can make a difference. New Venture Championship is growing, and in doing so, is creating a lasting establishment for making a difference. Here's another:

People are joining by the minute. Obama's new website went up Feb. 8th.

Meeting Jelly

We're going to W+K tomorrow for a tour, and will meet Jelly Helm. I think he'll even talk to us. What the hell should we say? Do? Ask? Maybe that's the problem -- we're expecting way too much of ourselves. It's like visiting the Wizard of Oz. Will he give us brains? Heart? Courage? Well, I'm sure he'll make part of a balanced breakfast. The rest has always been up to us.

I could spend the rest of my night memorizing maps of Portland so I'm not late, or I can work on my idea journal. It really doesn't matter; either way will bring me closer to understanding the Mission.

Awesome W+K Nike print ad that could've been perfect for fencing (if only I'd gotten to it first!)
